Inter/Intra-District Transfers

INTRA/INTER-DISTRICT Transfer Information

Please note, as of January 1, 2020, Dry Creek's Inter/Intra-District Transfer process has moved completely digital, including the ability to upload required documents. Our new system allows parents/guardians and District staff the ability to track where the application is within the transfer process.

Open enrollment for all grades begins January 7, 2020 and closes February 21, 2020 for those interested in transferring into any of Dry Creek's nine highly desirable schools.  Space is limited and notification of acceptance will be provided by the end of May, 2020.  No applications will be accepted prior to January 7, 2020.  If you'd like to tour a school prior to filling out an application, please contact the school you wish to view's main office directly.  School contact information can be found at www.drycreekschools.us/schools.

Intra-District Open Enrollment TK-8th

The Intra-District Open Enrollment process is an opportunity for each student who resides permanently within the boundaries of the Dry Creek Joint Elementary School District to apply for enrollment at a school other than their school of residency.  Applications for an Intra-District transfer are granted based on space availability at the requested school.

Applications for Intra-District transfers received during the Open Enrollment period will be given priority over applications received outside of the Open Enrollment window. The Open Enrollment period will begin January 7, 2020, and end February 21, 2020.  All newly enrolled students to the District must register at their school of attendance prior to submitting an Intra-District transfer request.  Students initially enrolling in the GATE Academy program at a site which is not their school of residency must apply for an Intra-District transfer.  Students attending school on an Intra-District transfer are not eligible for District transportation. Transportation to and from the school of choice is the responsibility of the parent.  It is anticipated that applicants will be notified of their application status by May 31, 2020.
